ALYSSA GAJAR, LMSW

Alyssa earned her MSW from the University of Michigan in 2020 and has since been deeply committed to empowering others as a psychotherapist in private practice. Before transitioning into private practice, Alyssa gained invaluable experience helping families navigate complex school systems and supporting justice-involved youth and their families. Since joining our team in 2024, she’s also been leading our ADHD Mini Clinics, designed for elementary and middle school students.

Alyssa’s passion and experience align when she’s working with children, teens, and young adults facing challenges such as ADHD, PTSD, LGBTQIA+ issues, relationship conflict, and life transitions. Alyssa’s approach to therapy is engaging and personalized, blending the development of new coping skills, interactive activities, and parent check-ins to provide continuous support and essential psychoeducation.

Outside of her work at Bloomfield Child and Family Counseling, Alyssa loves to hike, explore museums, art galleries, and local markets, practice yoga, and spend quality time with her friends, family, and dog, Frankie.

“I love being able to tailor therapeutic treatment to each individual – your therapy should be as unique as you are!”
